The announcement was made on June 24, 2026, during Warner Bros Animation's presentation at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Original Adventure Time showrunner Adam Muto is returning to lead the project, while Fred Seibert and Sam Register will serve as executive producers. The series is being produced by Cartoon Network Studios and continues to expand the Adventure Time universe following the success of Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake.


The show will resume with Princess Bubblegum and Marceline the Vampire Queen, as they travel across some of the most distant and unexplored parts of Ooo. Along the way, they will come face-to-face with new troubles and several familiar characters that longtime Adventure Time fans will recognise.

The series will place major focus on their relationship, exploring life as a canon couple while navigating adventures together in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Viewers can expect to witness their unresolved issues from their past. Like the original Adventure Time, the spinoff is expected to feature rich world-building and plenty of mysteries waiting to be uncovered.
