Every June, the world is reminded of the invisible barriers that society has built around love, identity, and acceptance. Barriers that prevent people from loving freely because of their gender or sexuality, and barriers that make many struggle to embrace who they truly are. While some continue to challenge these walls, others remain trapped by long-held prejudices and social pressures.

Pride Month serves as an opportunity to break down those barriers. Through pride parades, film screenings, cultural events, and community gatherings, it encourages conversations about identity, acceptance, and equality. More than a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, it is a time for reflection—not only for those exploring their own identities but also for those learning to overcome stereotypes and biases. As stories of LGBTQ+ individuals take centre stage this month, they remind us of the diversity of human experiences and the importance of creating a more inclusive world.

Here are some Pride Month events that celebrate diversity and are worth attending this June.

It provides participants with a platform to channel their personal experiences, struggles, and aspirations through creative expression. This year marks the workshop's fifth edition, which will be held at The LaLiT Mumbai. TRANsaction is also part of the city's broader Pride Month celebrations, alongside film festivals, panel discussions, and community events.
